Today, we visited the site of OOOOOO Co., Ltd. in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do, the heart of Korea’s semiconductor and display industry. [Leak Detector Replacement] Solving Existing Problems: Introduction of the “YHSP-SAR” Point Sensor
The previously used film-type leak detector suffered from frequent false alarms and a short sensor lifespan, which caused repeated replacement and maintenance burdens. As a result, confidence in the existing system had become very low among site personnel.

Technical Features of the Electronic Leak Point Sensor “YHSP-SAR”
- Selective detection and false alarm prevention: It is designed not to react to pure water, but to respond selectively only to designated acids, alkalis, and non-volatile organic chemicals. This fundamentally blocks unnecessary alarms caused by humidity changes or simple water ingress, maximizing the reliability of the leak detection system. (Water detection can also be added if required.)
- Fast and sensitive response: As soon as liquid reaches the lower part of the sensor, its advanced electrode system reacts sensitively, allowing rapid detection of even very small leaks.
- Cost-effective maintenance: After chemical detection, the entire sensor does not need to be replaced. It can be washed with water and reused immediately, significantly reducing consumable replacement costs and maintenance time.
- System reliability: It works together with a dedicated detection module to build a stable and well-organized monitoring system. It also provides immediate alarm functions in the event of line faults or sensor damage, ensuring reliable system operation.

The “YHSP-SAR” leak detector is designed as a point detection type, which offers the major advantage of flexibly adapting to changes in the field environment.
- Adaptable to equipment and process changes: In semiconductor and display manufacturing facilities, the layout of piping and equipment may change frequently due to equipment relocation or process optimization. Unlike fixed film-type sensors, “YHSP-SAR” can be moved easily, allowing safety to be maintained without gaps in the detection area even when equipment is relocated.

“YHSP-SAR” is an innovative product that overcomes the weaknesses of consumable film-type detectors, which require sensor disposal or replacement after leak detection.
- Easy recovery: Even after detecting acid or alkali leaks, the sensor does not suffer performance degradation. The contaminated sensor can simply be washed with water, dried, and reused immediately.
- Reduced maintenance costs: Because the sensor has a semi-permanent lifespan, it drastically reduces maintenance time and MRO costs caused by frequent sensor replacement, making it highly economical in terms of total cost of ownership (TCO). This flexible placement and easy reusability are key reasons why “YHSP-SAR” solves the frequent failures and short lifespan problems of conventional film-type detectors and provides higher reliability.
