This is an installation case of an organic-solvent leak detection system at a urethane manufacturing plant in Gimhae, Gyeongnam (Korea). Project Overview: Organic-Solvent Leak Detector Installation

I’m Manager Yoo from Yoohantech, your industrial safety solutions partner.
Today, we’re introducing the installation process of an essential safety facility for urethane manufacturing sites: an organic-solvent leak detection system. Organic-solvent leaks can lead to fire, explosion, and worker exposure risks, so the key is ensuring a fast response flow: leak detector (sensor) → alarm receiver (alert) → on-site action.
This project site is a manufacturer located in Gimhae, Gyeongsangnam-do, Korea, producing urethane-based products.
Because the process uses various organic solvents (chemical substances), installing a leak detector was essential for site safety and for meeting Korea’s Chemical Control Act (CCA) requirements.
To ensure stable detection even in challenging factory conditions, we selected the organic-solvent electronic leak detection point sensor (YHSP-SA). For immediate alarming upon leak events, we configured the system together with the leak alarm control receiver (YH-100L).

The detector is the organic-solvent dedicated, separated-type electronic leak detection point sensor YHSP-SA and the monitoring unit is the leak alarm control receiver with beacon light type YH-100L.
This configuration enables an instant alarm when an organic-solvent leak occurs, helping reduce both initial response time and process risk.
Piping & Sensor Wiring Work
Leak detector performance is largely determined by where it is installed. Yoohantech carefully executes piping and wiring to maximize detection efficiency, focusing on likely leak points (under lines, around valves/pumps, and near leak collection/sump areas).
Organic-Solvent Leak Detector Installation Completed
Since interior work and equipment installation were still in progress, we completed the installation with protective packaging to prevent sensor damage from dust and external impacts.
Once the internal construction is finished, the packaging can be removed and the sensor can simply be placed at the optimal leak-prone point for immediate operation. This kind of careful protection management is one of Yoohantech’s key strengths in leak detector installation.
The detector installation and wiring are completed and the system is ready for immediate operation. (Alarm outputs can also be configured to match site requirements, such as beacon light / buzzer / external interlock.)

Receiver Configuration Highlights
The YH-100L leak alarm control receiver was neatly installed on the wall.
Inside the receiver, the organic-solvent dedicated 4-channel leak detection control module YHSM-04S-A is installed, enabling stable reception and management of signals from multiple leak detection sensors.
This means the system can be expanded for processes that require multiple sensor points.
