First, the leak detection sensor is immersed in water to confirm its selective response characteristics. The operator keeps the sensor in water for 20 seconds and checks whether any alarm is triggered.
Result: No response. Even after 20 seconds, the sensor output does not reach the preset alarm threshold of 2.0483, and no alarm is activated. This result shows that the sensor is highly stable and helps prevent false alarms caused by water, rain, condensation, or similar non-target environmental factors.
After the water test, the sensor surface is wiped dry, and the main CHP detection test begins immediately. The moment the leak point sensor comes into contact with the CHP liquid, the response is extremely fast.
Result: Immediate alarm activation. As soon as the sensor touches the CHP liquid, the leak alarm system is triggered within 2 seconds. A sharp alarm sound and flashing red warning light indicate a hazardous chemical leak condition without delay. Starting from an initial sensor value of 1.0483, the reading quickly rises above the alarm setpoint of 2.0483, demonstrating fast response performance that can help secure valuable reaction time in critical industrial environments.
