๐ Site Condition: Problems at the Potassium Hydroxide (KOH) Outdoor Tank
This Ulsan plant handles large volumes of Potassium Hydroxide (KOH), a key raw material used in high-purity semiconductor chemicals for etching and cleaning supplied to major semiconductor manufacturers such as Samsung Electronics and SK hynix.
As a result, multiple outdoor storage tanks for potassium hydroxide are installed throughout the plant.

The site had previously installed film-type leak detectors, but these had suffered severe corrosion and damage due to the outdoor environment and chemical exposure.
