Today, while Assistant Manager Yoo is away on a business trip, I would like to share this post about a leak detector installation site.

This project site is located at the Gimpo Livestock Cooperative in Gyeonggi-do. Since acid and alkali hazardous chemicals are used at the outdoor tank storage facility, it was essential to establish a leak detection system to prevent leak accidents in accordance with chemical safety regulations.

Because a collection trench was installed around the tank area, the electronic leak point sensor (YHSP-SAR) was installed right next to the trench, where leaked chemicals would gather first, in order to improve the speed of initial response.

In addition, the outdoor leak alarm control receiver (YH-100L) was installed near the tanks, and considering the harsh outdoor environment with rain and wind, it was safely mounted inside a corrosion-resistant SUS (stainless steel) waterproof enclosure.

Now, let us take a look at the carefully completed leak detector installation photos.

Although the weather was rainy during the work, Yoohantech specialists did their best to complete a safe and reliable leak detector installation without electrical leakage or false alarms.

The electronic leak point sensor was installed in the optimal position, right next to the trench.

Considering the floor slope, it guards the natural flow path where leaked liquid would move toward the trench, making immediate detection of chemical leakage possible.

This is the outdoor leak alarm receiver (YH-100L).

Inside, two 1-channel leak detection control modules (YHSM-01S-AR) are installed to monitor each sensor independently. This makes it possible to identify the exact leak location even if only one sensor sends a signal.

In addition, although it is not visible in the photos, a backup battery is built in so that the leak detection system continues operating even during a power outage, ensuring 24-hour safety.

After the installation was completed, we carried out a normal operation test of the leak detector in the presence of the site manager.

As soon as the test sample contacted the sensor, we confirmed that the receiver activated an immediate leak alarm.

Yoohantech’s electronic point leak detector (YHSP-SAR) is a reusable and economical product. After testing, the sensor can be used again normally simply by wiping off the liquid from its surface.
