Today, we would like to introduce an installation case of a leak detection system, an essential part of industrial safety.

In every industrial site handling chemicals, safety is the highest priority and cannot be compromised.

In particular, leak incidents during handling and storage must be prevented through a fast and accurate leak detection system.

Recently, Yoohantech successfully built a custom leak detection system for organic solvents to improve safety at a logistics company located in Gwangyang, Jeollanam-do.

This project is an excellent example of how a precise leak detector solution designed for outdoor environments can help protect industrial sites.

Project Overview: A Precision Leak Detector That Responds Only to Organic Solvents

The key objective of this project was to build a leak detection system that completely ignores environmental factors such as rainwater and responds only to leaks of the target chemical, organic solvents.

To achieve this, Yoohantech selected the electronic point leak sensor "YHSP-SA" as the core solution. This sensor does not react to water and sends an immediate signal only when it comes into contact with organic solvents, providing high reliability and making it ideal for outdoor leak detector installation environments.

Thorough Pre-Installation Inspection:

Every installation project begins with verifying that the correct products and materials have been delivered.

Under the supervision of the project manager, all leak detector sensors and installation materials were carefully inspected to ensure complete readiness before installation.

Optimal Sensor Positioning and Installation:

Yoohantech’s experienced specialists installed the system throughout the site. In particular, the "YHSP-SA" leak detector sensor was precisely installed in the drainage channel, which is the most effective location for detecting organic solvent leaks quickly, enabling immediate response in case of an incident.

The Heart of the Leak Detection System: A Strong and Reliable Receiver

The receiver that centrally manages signals from all sensors is the heart of the system. In this project, a custom receiver panel was installed to control a total of 9 leak detectors.

• Robust outdoor enclosure: To protect the system from outdoor conditions, the leak detector receiver was installed inside a SUS (stainless steel) outdoor enclosure.

• Flexible channel configuration: To connect a total of 9 detectors, the system was efficiently configured using two 4-channel modules (YHSM-04S-A) and one 1-channel module (YHSM-01S-A).

• Uninterrupted operation (UPS): A backup battery was built in so that the leak detection system continues operating even during unexpected situations such as power outages. The system can operate normally for more than approximately one hour even during a blackout.

24/7 Continuous Leak Monitoring with a Dual Alarm System

Safety must always be checked through multiple layers.

Yoohantech built a dual alarm system so that not only on-site workers but also office managers can immediately recognize a leak event.

When a leak alarm is triggered from the outdoor leak detector receiver, the same alarm is immediately activated on the 1-channel receiver installed inside the office.

This allows personnel to quickly understand the situation and take immediate action even when they are not physically at the site. In addition, the office receiver is also equipped with a backup battery, ensuring there is no monitoring gap during a power outage.

This Gwangyang logistics center project once again proves Yoohantech’s expertise in analyzing the customer’s working environment and handled materials accurately, then delivering the most suitable leak detector installation solution.
